“For they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body.” Proverbs 4:22 22 NIV
Mission
To provide women with the opportunity to freely involve themselves in discussions, activities, and exercises to heal their spirits, minds, bodies, and souls for self-care. By studying the Word of God, and biblical insights in the areas of a woman’s life, women will learn how it relates to their life, family, work, church, and community, as it pertains to self-care for their soul, body, mind, and spirit.
Objective
Through scriptures, the Self-Care ministry will create a safe haven for women to volunteer, share, and/or learn avenues to help them on their journey to healing and coping with their life experiences. Help equip the women on how to develop and use their God-given talents, while learning various coping skills.
What to Expect
Fellowship events may include outings to parks, museums, movies, plays, breakfast, lunch, or dinner. As well as opportunities to serve the community (i.e. volunteering at the shelter, and community events) and fellowship (i.e. book club, retreats, seminars, and participating in church events). There will be supporting resources to assist with mental, physical, and emotional health.
The Self-Care Ministry meets on the first Saturday of every other month at 11:00 am.
